Inside a 3,000-Client Corporate Mooncake Order in Singapore: Pinch x INZY

Posted on 21 Aug 2026

Behind the Scenes

There is a 24-foot truck idling outside our kitchen. Ten pallets of mooncakes are being loaded, box by box, each finished with an orange luggage tag that took months to get exactly right.

The order is headed to 3,000 clients across Singapore, each a policyholder of INZY, a financial advisory team under AIA Financial Advisers Pte Ltd.

But this was not a last-minute Mid-Autumn order. Planning started a full year before a single mooncake was baked.

If you are planning corporate mooncake gifting in Singapore, this is a look behind the scenes at what it actually takes to create, customise and prepare gifts at this scale.

What Did Pinch Bakehouse Create for INZY?

Pinch Bakehouse created a fully customised halal corporate mooncake gifting programme for 3,000 INZY clients in Singapore. The project included six mooncake flavours, corporate logos printed directly onto selected mooncakes, custom brand-coloured luggage tags, specially prepared gift boxes and large-scale distribution requiring ten pallets and a 24-foot truck.

The Problem Every Financial Advisor Has

Appreciating clients is not the difficult part.

Every advisor can send a card. A hamper. A festive gift. Maybe something nice at Christmas or Chinese New Year.

That is the baseline now.

The bigger question INZY's team was trying to answer was:

How do you give 3,000 clients something they will actually remember?

A client may receive appreciation gifts from several advisors, insurers, banks and business partners in the same year. Being appreciated is good. Being remembered is harder.

And in a relationship-driven business like financial advisory, where trust and familiarity matter, staying memorable can help create the next conversation, referral or renewal.

That tension shaped almost every decision behind this corporate mooncake order.

Enter the Mochi That Sticks

One of the mooncakes selected for the project was not a conventional lotus paste mooncake.

It was Pinch Bakehouse's Pistachio Mochi Brownie Mooncake, our Singapore-first take on the Dubai Chocolate Mooncake.

Inside is a fudgy chocolate brownie base, chewy QQ Taiwanese-style mochi and a crunchy pistachio centre.

The mochi became more than an ingredient. It gave the team a simple idea for what the gift itself should do.

“We want our clients to remember us the way they remember this mooncake. Something that sticks.”

That is a useful way to think about client appreciation gifts in general. The gift does not necessarily have to be bigger or more expensive. It needs to give the recipient a reason to remember who sent it.

Not Every Client Wants the Same Mooncake

A list of 3,000 recipients is never one single type of customer.

Some people want something contemporary. Some prefer traditional Mid-Autumn flavours. Others deliberately choose desserts with lower sugar.

For recipients who preferred a lower-sugar option, the order also included a traditional mooncake formulated with just 2g of sugar per serving.

Pinch's wider Lunar Reverie collection also includes a Low Sugar White Lotus Mooncake for those who prefer gentler sweetness.

In total, the INZY order covered six different mooncake flavours.

At this scale, personalisation does not always mean creating 3,000 completely different gifts. Sometimes it means giving recipients enough variety that the entire programme does not feel like one generic box replicated thousands of times.

The Year Nobody Saw

Here is what most people do not see when a few thousand beautifully packed corporate mooncake gifts arrive on schedule:

The mooncakes are often the easiest part.

The planning is where the work happens.

INZY's team began working with Pinch Bakehouse a full year before Mid-Autumn.

Even four months before the festival, we were still conducting taste tests and adjusting sweetness, texture and ingredient ratios.

For a personal order, “good enough” might pass. When a dessert is representing a professional relationship with 3,000 clients, every small choice gets magnified.

Final Run-Up

Production & Logistics

Packaging, branding, mooncakes, packing and final distribution all have to converge on schedule.

The Logo Was Printed on the Mooncake, Not Just the Box

The next challenge was customisation.

INZY did not simply want its logo placed on a sticker outside the gift box.

The corporate identity was incorporated into the mooncake itself.

INZY branding applied directly to the mooncakes prepared for the corporate order.

Printing the logo directly onto the mooncake meant the branding stayed visible when the box was opened, photographed and shared.

That matters for corporate gifting. Packaging creates the first impression, but the actual product is the part people eat, photograph and remember.

Then There Was the Orange

The luggage tag attached to every box looks simple in the finished photographs.

Getting there was not simple.

INZY needed a very specific shade of orange. Not approximately orange. Not “close enough” orange. Their orange.

Matching a corporate colour on a physical item can require multiple production rounds because colour behaves differently depending on material, print method and lighting.

The luggage tag went through several rounds before everyone was satisfied with the final result.

What Does Custom Corporate Mooncake Packaging Look Like?

The finished gift combined Pinch's Mid-Autumn packaging with the custom INZY luggage tag, creating something that still looked like a premium festive gift while remaining recognisably theirs.

Completed Pinch Bakehouse mooncake gift boxes with custom INZY luggage tags.

This is where corporate customisation works best.

The objective is not to turn every gift into an advertisement. It is to make the recipient recognise who thought of them without losing the feeling that they are receiving an actual gift.

What Almost Went Wrong

The honest version of a project this size also includes the parts that almost did not come together.

The order was confirmed roughly a year in advance, before Pinch's new Mid-Autumn box design even existed.

That meant INZY's team was committing to a gifting programme while some parts of the final packaging were still being developed.

There were iterations. Adjustments. New versions.

They stayed through the process.

That willingness to iterate was one of the reasons the project ultimately worked.

Then the Boxes Were Oversold

As delivery approached, another issue appeared.

Demand for the box design exceeded what had originally been printed. We needed to place another production order to ensure there were enough boxes for the mooncakes already scheduled.

For both teams, that created pressure close to fulfilment.

It is also a useful reminder for anyone planning a large corporate gifting order: beautiful packaging is still inventory. For high-volume campaigns, contingency stock and lead time matter.

The Logistics of 3,000 Corporate Gifts

Once production is complete, a completely different operation begins.

Thousands of corporate gifts do not leave a bakery one shopping bag at a time.

The final INZY rollout required:

01 3,000 Client Gifts

Each gift had to be produced, checked and prepared for distribution.

02 10 Pallets

Completed boxes were consolidated for large-scale transport.

03 24-Foot Truck

A commercial vehicle was required just to move the order out for fulfilment.

That 24-foot truck is a useful way to visualise what a 3,000-recipient corporate mooncake order actually means operationally.

At that point, you are no longer simply buying desserts. You are managing a distribution project.

Can Corporate Mooncakes Be Delivered to Individual Client Addresses?

Yes. Pinch Bakehouse can support multi-location corporate gifting and doorstep delivery for large recipient lists in Singapore.

For campaigns like this, delivery planning can include recipient addresses, delivery schedules, packing requirements and other fulfilment details depending on the project.

If you are planning gifts for hundreds or thousands of clients, it is worth discussing logistics at the beginning of the project rather than treating delivery as the final step.

Planning a Large Corporate Order?

Start with the number of recipients, desired delivery method, customisation requirements and preferred gifting period. These four factors influence almost everything that follows.

Why Halal Corporate Mooncakes Matter in Singapore

Corporate recipient lists in Singapore are often diverse.

Pinch Bakehouse is a halal-certified bakery, and our mooncake collection is Halal-certified. That makes it easier for companies to choose one gifting programme that can be shared across Muslim and non-Muslim clients, employees and business partners.

Instead of treating halal gifting as a separate afterthought, companies can plan the programme around a range designed to be inclusive from the beginning.

What Corporate Gifting Teams Can Learn from the INZY Order

01

Start Earlier Than You Think

A fully customised corporate gifting programme involving thousands of recipients, product development, branded packaging and delivery needs months rather than weeks.

02

Customisation Should Be Meaningful

INZY did not simply add a logo to the outside of a box. Brand colour, packaging details and the mooncakes themselves became part of the experience.

03

Allow Time for Iteration

Taste testing, colour matching and packaging refinement require back-and-forth. That does not necessarily mean something is going wrong. Often, it is how a better final product gets made.

04

Think About Different Recipients

Six flavours helped provide more variety across a 3,000-person recipient list rather than treating everyone as having the same taste.

05

Plan Logistics at the Start

Delivery becomes a major part of the project once recipient counts reach hundreds or thousands. It should be planned alongside the gift, not after it.

06

Make the Gift Memorable

Corporate gifting works best when the recipient can remember both the gift and the person or brand that sent it.

How Far in Advance Should You Order Corporate Mooncakes?

For straightforward bulk orders with limited customisation, you may not need a full year.

But for large corporate mooncake orders involving thousands of recipients, custom logos, branded packaging, specific colours, several flavours or complex delivery requirements, we recommend starting discussions 6 to 12 months before Mid-Autumn Festival.

Corporate Gifting Is Not Really About the Mooncake

Three thousand mooncakes are impressive.

Ten pallets make a good photograph. A 24-foot truck makes the scale obvious.

But those numbers were never the point of the INZY project.

The real objective was much smaller:

Give one client one gift that makes them feel remembered.

Then repeat that experience 3,000 times.

That is the difference between ordering a large quantity of mooncakes and building a corporate gifting programme.
